Comment on Floyd Landis testing positive for testosterone

Does anyone else find it at least slightly amusing that it is the French who find elevated levels of testosterone suspicious?

This is a tough one: he's a Menonite - he's honest and so are his parents. He looks honest !
Can you understand the extent of the competition at Tour de France ?
How would anyone with a bad hip win?

Did someone spike his food ?

I can't remember where I read a quote about this by a doctor, but the benefits from taking testosterone only occur after one has taken it for a long period of time. It is not clear why this positive result would only occur in this one test on the 17th stage of the trial.

I think the French would do anything to discredit another American winning the Tour... Armstrong was everybody's favorite, but to have the Tour won by Americans AGAIN? They just can't have that.

One out 17? And the wrong one to impact the race?

How iron clad are the testing procedures? Do they never make a mistake?
