Increasing crime driving increased gun sales

Valley retailers, including gun shops, martial-arts studios and security-alarm companies, are experiencing an uptick in business as residents, fearful about news that Phoenix police are tracking two serial killers, are looking for ways to buy a little security.

More people are purchasing handguns and pepper spray and installing alarm systems in their homes. Women, especially, are showing increased interest in self-defense classes. . . .
