Only 12% of Democrats think that Lamont's win was bad for Democrats?
They also said the Lamont victory over one of the few pro-war Democrats in Washington makes them optimistic they can win control of at least one of the two houses of Congress in November.
The Zogby Interactive survey was conducted Aug. 9-10, 2006, and included 1,229 Democratic respondents nationwide. It carries a margin of error of +/- 2.9 percentage points.
It found that nearly four out of five Democrats (79%) were happy the former Democratic vice presidential nominee was knocked off by Lamont, a wealthy cable television executive whose campaign focused almost exclusively on his opposition to the war – and Lieberman’s support of it. Just 12% said they were not pleased with the results of the primary, which riveted political junkies across the nation. Another 10% of Democrats said they were not sure what to think.

I don't know how to feel about such surveys. I normally look at all surveys regarding guns that I find, Everytime the feedback is pro-gun by a large majority, yet the same newspaper keep publishing the same distorted anti-gun stories. I wonder if this is just some of the same thing and that these surveys have no real value at all.
Stodgy, old, "Get Along Joe" Lieberman didn't reflect his viciously anti-war, Bush-hating constituency. Democrats (sometimes referred to as "Demon rats" :) are marginalized and angry. Mmm . . . like cornered rats?
The anti-war left wants blood, and Joe Lieberman was too much of a pacifist.
Dear Anonymous:
The thing that puzzles me is that such a huge percentage of Democrats not only dislike Bush and the war, but they are happy to have gotten ride of Lieberman, a liberal Democrat with whom they agree with on almost all other issues.
This only proves that they never liked Lieberman. He was included in the ticket to make the Dems look better to the independents.
