12-year-olds learn how to fire guns in Alaska Public Schools

I saw a deal about Alaska bush pilots the other day. Most carry a big bore gun in their survival pack in case they crash/get stranded. It makes a lot of sense for Alaska to not require a permit to carry concealed because why make all the new transplant bush pilots wait 60 days to be legal to defend themselves?

This is a step in the right direction to eliminate federal law that makes schools 'gun free safe schools'. School zones that are gun free are unsafe. Laws that restrict gun possession in 'school zones' are able to prohibit completely, gun possession. They are also traps for law-abiding citizens who are unaware of this law (see BATF for info.)

""We generally don't have much of a problem with them as long as the actual firing of weapons is off campus and there's the appropriate law enforcement, professional trainers, present," said Peter Hamm, communications director for the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence." ... I've said this before: the people making restrictive gun laws are the ones who know nothing about guns. These people (the brady bunch) know little about children too.
