Fred Thompson in Second Place Among Republicans
Actor and former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson is second with 17 per cent, followed by former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney with 15 per cent, and Arizona senator John McCain with 14 per cent. . . . .
Matthew Mosk in the Washington Post says that Thompson poses the most danger to McCain. Possibly, but my guess is that Thompson's entry is pulling down the poll numbers for everyone. If Thompson is now really in second by only six percent, all the publicity surrounding his official entrance will put him into first place.

Nobody mentions before he was an actor or senator he was a successful lawyer. Why is that?
FWIW, McCain's candidacy is seriously hurt by the Immigration Bill's problems.
He's yesterday's candidate.
It's between Romney, Rudy, and Fred!; and in the end, I think Rudy will sink to a close, but noticeable, third.
John, any neo-con member of the CFR is ULTIMATELY non gun-friendly - even if they purport to be right now in a presidential race. I'm really really surprised that you, of all people, cannot see this and are falling for the lies. He WILL NOT help gun owners one bit.
