Where are they now: Tracy Bridges and the Appalachian Law School Attack
Tracy Bridges - a former Madison County magistrate who told a federal magistrate Thursday that he carried extortion money for former Buncombe County Sheriff Bobby Medford - was once lauded as a hero during a school shooting in Virginia.
Bridges, 31, told a magistrate judge that he converted $30,000 in cash into money orders last year and deposited them into accounts for the former sheriff.
Medford and some members of his command staff were arrested Thursday. . . .
