Close race could determine passage of right-to-carry law in Wisconsin
There are only two states that still ban citizens carrying concealed handguns, Wisconisn and Illinois. Twice in the last few years Wisconsin came with in a vote or two of overriding Democratic Governor Jim Doyle's vetoes, and in both cases the veto was upheld because one or two assembly Democrats switched their votes during the override. If Green wins this extremely close race, right-to-carry will pass (depending on a couple of state assembly races it might pass anyway).
Wisconsin has been within a whisker of passing right-to-carry law on a couple of occasions now...a gubernatorial defeat would clearly bring an end to Doyle's fascism.
Illinois has deeper, more corrupt, problems...don't hold your breath SNS ;-)
Amazed how lucky I am that I have had jobs where I could just think about whatever I wanted to think about.
This summer I will be moving to the University of Maryland. Previously I held positions at the University of Chicago, Yale University, Stanford, UCLA, Wharton, and Rice and was the chief economist at the United States Sentencing Commission during 1988 and 1989. I have published over 90 articles in academic journals. I received my Ph.D. in economics from UCLA in 1984.

If Wisconsin falls then maybe Illinois will be next.
