Ironically, however, the NHS employees are generally a very caring bunch...it's a perverse greek tragedy really.

If only there was some way to ensure that the desired number of hearing aids are produced. Some method of supplying services and goods to those who demand them. Some inexpensive, or better yet, free system for controlling the market.
