That's why gun owners and hunters need to pay attention to the NRA and individual state rifle organizations, and other gun owner organizations when they make recommendations about which judges (and politicians) to vote for.
It's not that this judge needs to visit the nearest slaughterhouse - it's that we need to pay attention and be politically involved before we are all forced to eat like rabbits. Politicians are already trying to legislate what we eat and what restaurants are allowed to serve. Laws that protect animals from cruelty become cruel to humans.
Foi Gras bans should be repealed for the sole purpose of protecting people from rediculous prosecution.
Already in Illinois in two separate cases the accused have been sentenced excessively for killing animals.
This example makes a strong case for allowing cameras in the courtroom.
Amazed how lucky I am that I have had jobs where I could just think about whatever I wanted to think about.
This summer I will be moving to the University of Maryland. Previously I held positions at the University of Chicago, Yale University, Stanford, UCLA, Wharton, and Rice and was the chief economist at the United States Sentencing Commission during 1988 and 1989. I have published over 90 articles in academic journals. I received my Ph.D. in economics from UCLA in 1984.

That woman should not be a lawyer, let alone a judge. She appears to be having a crisis related to her hormone issues.
That hapless defendant needs to complain to both the State bar and the judicial regulator of that state.
Go to this link and read how she later got unseated.

I read about it (11-10-06) at the NRA website.

Laws that protect animals from cruelty don't become cruel to humans, they are there to protect animals from people like you.
How can someone being sentenced for excessively killing animals be a bad thing?
The sooner we get tougher Foi Gras bans, the better.
PS Keep up the good work - your raising hell and packing heat description makes me believe you are a model of society.
