On CNN Tonight

I will be on Paula Zahn's show on CNN tonght sometime between 8 and 9 PM. The discussion will be on the school shootings.

UPDATE: The segment on CNN was canceled because none of the gun control groups that CNN contacted were willing to put someone on the show to debate me. CNN was only willing to put me on if they had someone from a gun control group to counter me. It was disappointing, but this is not something new. Gun control groups have done this before, and I assume it is just their attempt to keep me off the TV.

I guess you got bumped? It was female (S Hupp, TX) vs female (from NY).

The intro suggested there would be substantial anti-gun bias - and that proved true in my opinion. The strategy seemed to be that Zahn would let the anti-gun speaker spout a few lies and then ask Hupp to respond. Hupp, of course, couldn't call her directly on her lies (such as the VA gun store having the only and final judgement on sale of guns to the VT shooter). She did challenge her on the claim that even LEOS can't shoot well, the sole example being 10yr ago FBI agents were shot by a surprise shooter (Hupp noted that 2 were killed, rather than this being a "mass shooting"). On the point that no shooting has occurred in other than a Gun-Free Zone, Zahn changed the topic and never asked Hupp's opponent to address the point.

CNN interviewed students carrying CCWs and a Prof, who had no arguements or qualifications other than her opinion that CCW was wrong, and only added a quick bite on a Prof who didn't know a student was carrying - but said he felt safer. Hardly a balance.

All in all, it seemed more a setup rather than a debate.

Here in Hawaii, it was mid-afternoon when the Paula Zahn show was on. As I was at work, I wasn't able to watch the show. Does anyone know if it will be re-broadcast? If not, will a transcript of the part of the show about the school shooting be available? Thanks.
