About Me
Amazed how lucky I am that I have had jobs where I could just think about whatever I wanted to think about. This summer I will be moving to the University of Maryland. Previously I held positions at the University of Chicago, Yale University, Stanford, UCLA, Wharton, and Rice and was the chief economist at the United States Sentencing Commission during 1988 and 1989. I have published over 90 articles in academic journals. I received my Ph.D. in economics from UCLA in 1984.

too bad he doesnt take the same statements and apply them to his repeated attempts to strip everyone in illinios of their second amendment rights. And his laws banning guns and trying to make law abiding citizens criminals instead of just procecuting the criminals who illegally use guns. Chicago has wasted millions of taxpayers dollars sueing gun shops, legal owners and gun manufacturers. All this to keep his King Richard title and keep his serfs unarmed and defenseless.
He started the bans with the worst ban, the one that banned firearms in Chicago. Today there exists a ban frenzy that is now out of control. If he wants to critize any ban he should admit wrong for all his famous bans. Daley has banned freedom. He recently went to China (and England) to learn more dictatorship skills. Chicago is a socialist/police state.
As a vegan, I do have to say that foie gras production is EXCEPTIONALLY cruel, in a way that, say, lobster fishing is not. It's really very horrible.
Whereas I would support laws pertaining to production methods, banning the end product itself will be about as effective as banning alcohol was.
Hey, remember when they banned drugs and now you can't find drugs anywhere anymore?
Am I off-topic ? A twelve year old knows a ban on cooking oil or foie gras is silly; why is it politicians that have graduated from law schools don't ?
Daley believes the foie gras ban is silly because his next election is approaching.
